Funny Poems - Vitamins

If there are others out there
who also take twenty-three
pills at a time four times
every day, please contact me
through the personals. We can
help each other force them down.
I will say they are tiny sandbags
keeping things on course. Youll reply
they are the flow itself, the tao.
We will look shyly at each other.
We will start to kiss. Together
we will feel them ooze and sidle
in teams through the digestive
tract like synchronized swimmers.
Who else will know your insides
like me? The warm flush of waves
when that orange horse pill hits
the blood like a boulder. The fizz
of cartilage holding itself together
for another six hours. Time release
capsules for dry bones, bleached
desert rats gulping down canteen
after canteen. What couple could
have more in common than a continual
dissolving? I am a young seventy-nine.
Looking for a minumum taker of sixty
pills daily. Call me if you want
to twist some tops off. Lets rattle
the bottles till they´re gone. Smokers okay.

First Trimester finally OVER

Relief was that the first trimester 0-12 weeks over finally and now I am on journey of second trimester. I did not like the moments of the first trimester.

During the first trimester, I have to face alot of suffering and bear with this and that. Till I could not take it, I will fret abit somemore. Lucky was that I am not bad-tempered like keep shouting at or throwing things or else. Just endure this as surely there was a hormones changes. And dont have strong craving on foods. Think I am on normal balanced diet but did not suffer any depression. Count myself little lucky.

Only I hate the most : -
gastric pain disturbing me somemore
backpain caused me sleep loss
constipation & heartbun
skin change - more sensitive
nausea disturbance
keep going toilet many times during night time

Used to eat but now I hate to eat: -
broccil
mushroom
fishball
hor fun
egg noddle
mee george
(quite alot)

*not saying I am fussy eater. I didnt know that there is a taste change when come to term of pregnancy as I learnt this from my mother.*

I am looking forward to know my baby gender soon. I will be visitng gynae doctor next week Tuesday at Mt Elizabeth Medical Centre.

Wake up. Day calls you

Wake up. Day calls you
to your life: your duty.
And to live, nothing more.
Root it out of the glum
night and the darkness
that covered your body
for which light waited
on tiptoe in the dawn.
Stand up, affirm the straight
simple will to be
a pure slender virgin.
Test your bodys metal.
cold, heat? Your blood will
tell against the snow,
or behind the window.
The colour
in your cheeks will tell.
And look at people. Rest
doing no more than adding
your perfection to another
day. Your task
is to carry your life high,
and play with it, hurl it
like a voice to the clouds
so it may retrieve the light
already gone from us.
That is your fate: to live
Do nothing.
Your work is you, nothing more.

Unforgiving at UOB

Yesterday my dear and I went to UOB @ Tampines Central together after had McDonald breakfast. I could not carry coins to bank alone as it was damn heavy. Then we were queuing up to wait for our turns to counter.

After 15 - 20 minutes, actually I was hoping to have chinese staff to do coins service for me. Unforunately, we approached to this non-chinese staff (woman) at her counter. It is not indian woman. I was not discriminate the race of people okie. I did not mind that non-chinese woman staff to serve us but I simply did not like her little rude attitude like this.

At her counter, I handed over my 300 pieces of $1.00 dollar coins to deposit into my current saving account. When this woman saw this too many coins, she seemed not happy to do or with this. Okie then I did not complain about her but look at her, why she chose to work in bank. Dont expect me not to go UOB then find coffee shops to change coins to dollars.

Actually UOB is far better to do job for coins service because it has coin count machine faster than the uncles or aunties to do count evey coins. Troublesome enough.

At least this woman should be glad to have this job as bank to do various scope of job to serve customers. But she did not put some effort to smile when come to serve customers. We turned around and looked at left and right sides of counters. Noticed other counter staffs looked presentable with nice smile while talking or serving customers. Execpt this woman whom I mentioned earlier.

It was unforgiving happening there. SIGH !!

Sleep Disorders

Good Sleep Wakes Up Memory
Besides helping you feel well-rested, getting your zzz's may also sharpen your memory, a new study shows.
Researchers found that sleep not only protects memories from outside interferences, it also helps strengthen them.
"There was a very large benefit of sleep for memory consolidation, even larger than we were anticipating," said study author Dr. Jeffrey Ellenbogen, an associate neurologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, and a postdoctoral fellow in sleep medicine at Harvard Medical School.
In the study, the researchers focused on sleep's impact on "declarative" memories, which are related to specific facts, episodes and events.
to be continued.......... !~!
Read entire about this : -
**maybe it may helps you to understand or read if you have problem with sleeping well or suffer insomina or else.**
I once had suffered insomina but now I am getting abit better now.
No harm of being curious to read this. Think of your health is more important.

Mother's Day

Today is the celebration of Mother's Day but I normally do not hold dinner on that day. As I know that every restaurants will be crazy fully booked or may end up queue up for table. No thanks and I do not want to bring troublesome or hassle to my mother.

So I came up with idea to have double celebration with her as her birthday also falls on 31st May. Never expect this day is the public holiday of Vesak Day, alamak. Then unable to wish her Mother's Day, I bought a new Gucci Envy Me perfume for her. She loves it much.

Not only this, my dear nephew also whole birthday on 31st May same as my mother. Surprised?? Actually, my mother was very happy to know when newphew born on same day as her.

Then when I opened message and saw one surprise sms from Dr. Victor (he is my long time friend). Guess what he said to me ?

"Mother's Day to me" sms sent by him.

Then I do not dare to reply him back and jut wait to think.

I wondered if he sent wrong sms to me or not. How can I am being wished for mother's day and could not bring myself to laugh till like this. Actually, I admit to say that I am too young to be mother at my own heart lah.

What is a funny sms he sent to me?

Then again, I am happy that Manchester United is the champion of EPL 2006 / 2007 but hopefully MU do well for FA Cup which will play on 19th May 2007.

Useful Pregnancy Books

I am not nerd or bookworm who loves to read so much. Just that reading is part of my hobby to kill my boredom either at home or in mrt or bus when travelling to far away from my home.

The first book of City Woman (Author Patricia) is for to read in bus or mrt....I do not want to sit or stand and do nothing. And just to stare at people standing or looking around everywhere in mrt or bus. Weirdo lah, haha....

Those pregnancy books I read mostly at home and I cannot bring them with me along to everywhere. Expensive books lor and I do not want to damage the books. Actually preganacy books meant alot to me and I need to know everything how to look after baby well and watch baby growing well and many interesting comprehensive topics to read.

See those pregnancy books are in good & neat condition and compared to book (City Woman) from library, it got dog ear bite and folded pages too.

This book is highly recommended to every newly pregnant women to read this. Very comprehensive and easy to read. Alot of understanding things to learn. Alot of pictures shown on book. It is pretty expensive but worth buy.
It costs $60.90. Now selling 20% discount off.
Dont miss it out or else you regret, haha....
Somemore it is top selling book now at Times and Border Bookshop outlets.

Picture shown very clear and very detailed comprehensive.
I chose this page because I am soon reaching the second trimester in 2 weeks time.

Those heels I 'm waiting for.....

Those heels I am really crazy about and love to wear them because they are very trendy and more feminine style and easy to wear to match what I am wearing to go out. I still keep them in shoes cupboard in great care condition.

Now is the past 2 months already, I have not wear them yet and got to wait patiently till November 2007. Think pregnant women cannot wear those heels due to height sole may bring any risks like falling or else. Most of times, I have to wear flat shoes or birkenstock slipper.

Found the Taiwan (Black Market) those model wearing the same shoes and same colors of heels which I owned them too....

White color is always my non stop loving because this color is considered cleaniness and good impression when come to wear this with jean and other outfits. excuse me, I am not fashion police catcher.

I wore this red heels for Chinese New year and visited one of my hubby's friend. Then his friend's wife told my hubby that she saw the red heels outside the door and wondered who dared to wear red shoes. So when my hubby and I were about to leave, his wife came to see us off at door and realised I wore them. I said yeah that is my shoes, haha..... She said that she dont dare to wear those daring colors like red or green or yellow. But I still wearing red black and white till now.

Black is the most common color every women wear for many purposes like go working in office or working as salegirls or go schooling or else.... Very easy to match and more versatile.

Those heels are still in my shoes cupboard.... I cannot wait to wear them back again....

See... it is still shiny.... still in great condition taken care by me... haha...

Badly Hair Cut Done

Cannot stand too hot and sweating during my 1st trimester pregnancy. I decided to shorten my hair. Must say goodbye to my previous hair. This picture of my long hair is for me to remember...actually I missed my dear long hair I took care for almost a year.

This hairstyle was done prefectly at MirrorTalk Hair Salon at Holiday Plaza, JB. And even I approached the same hairstylist, Stella for the past 2 years till now. That is why I love her professtional hair done. I cannot go JB to get my hair done there and was advised against of going here in my current pregnancy. Sob sob...

I never had my hair cut at salon anywhere in Singapore and was extremely skeptical of local hairstylists. I had 2 bad experiences which I had my hair done at Jean Yip and Jantnex (forget its salon name). Unfortunately, I did not took pictures of 2 hairdone as no digit camera that time.

First one at Jean Yip Salon - I once wanted to have light wavy medium hair (which I pointed model hair clearly explaination to him). This man hairstylist kept nodding say okie, no problem. But he done was very badly on my hair and guess what happened... My hair became very short above my shoulder, looked like a bomb round hair, evey layers cut was badly damaged, especially was the curly wavy badly done. I paid SGD 100 plus for this rubbish hair done and even cried painfully. After 5 days later, I rushed to another salon at Bishan to get hair curly straight down. Worse that I paid another $80 plus for this.

Second one at Jantnex (forget its name) - After a year, my hair straight has grown long which reached my upper waist so I went to this salon to cut my hair to medium and layers and highlights too. This damn aunt hairstylish simply do not understand what she was doing to my hair. Till my hair was cut till at my shoulder and layers not properly cut at details. Highlight was very little applied on my hair. Worse the total price for this ugly hairdone was over $150.

I never forget those encounters and was too frightened to step in every local hair salons. Then before I headed to Pro Trim Hair Studio, I kept asking my hubby is that hair studio hairstylist good or not many times. He been to this few times to cut his hair. I seen this hairstylist few times and done to my hubby's hair before. Then I took deep breathe and asked her whether she could do super job done on my hair after I pointed the picture of hair model at display. She said okie without asking me any details. Dumbfounded enough. Before she cut my hair, I said hold on and told her to have hair done properly.

Look at the photo, I was not happy with this hairdone by her at Pro Trim Hair Studio and quite bad hair cut already and layers are not balance well. :((
Lost confidence in local hair studio 4 times already. :(( : ((

What to do ???
I bought loreal hair wax or moisture to create hair style myself to make it look different. I have no choice to wait another 7 months to go then I go Mirror Talk Salon, JB to save my hair. Heartpain lor...
