Where is the Men Fashion Sense ??

Back few days, my 2 female friends who bothered about Men's clothing in public. I know they will going to tell me this, just because of their boyfriends. But there is really extremely nothing wrong with their guys.

Then one of them talked to me in msn online, she said that she wished that her boyfriend can be half more fashion sense dressing like her. Never expected her go to Orchard and Suntect to do her soul-seraching. I wondered what is soul-searching in town. I tried to probe her further... arrgg... guess what she said to me...

In msn online - >
joyce> hey teng2. Got tell you something very surprise...
fashionlover> joyce, yeah. what is it ? can share with me?

joyce> i saw few pool of good looking guys walking around in orchard. more better than my boyfriend.
fashionlover> yeah of course. i know. been orchard few times to outstation there to meet my buyers few times.
joyce> really... i wish one of them is my boyfriend. shall i transform my dear into like them?
fashionlover> huh, transform?? why must you do it ?? Dun have to, lah.

joyce> notice guys in orchard looks good in fashion clothings. like....sleveeless or polo t-shirt with either bermuda or jean.
fashionlover> opss.. cant you tell their appearance so easily ?? they have their own individual fashion sense. come on, dun force your dear to wear like this.

joyce> why not ?? you know, teng2. I am very embarrassed when i with him in his no taste fashion dressing.
fashionlover> you losing confidence in yourself? at least, your dear loves you, not your clothes or looks. Mind you lor.
joyce> sigh with sulk face.. yeah but....
fashionlover> joyce, pls try have talk with him and see if he wants to wear this or not. Give him times to adapt to current men fashion trend. okie...
joyce> hmhm.. alright.. i will try. Thanks. sorry to disturb you today.
fashionlover> no worry, babe. i got to go and prepare dinner for my dear now. Take care.

After chatted with her in msn, I started to think about this and wondered why girls are such so bothering about this. I did not find any reasons for this. So I decided to open up with my hubby regard this.

He said not all guys will wear nice clothes. I agreed.. But if i not wrong, it is guys individual own taste on fashion clothes. Cannot expect guys to wear like trannies or gays or old man clothes right. Why girls cannot think this properly ?? At least, give some respect to guys wish.

But not only my hubby, I also asked my brother and my few male friends about this. They said to me in msn that .....
1) none of guys are confident in new trend men clothes.
2) label / branded is not their individual favourite perference.
3) guys will look at design clothes to match them.
4) guys do not need to wear nice clothes as they not going for fashion show.
5) main reasons - within budget or price of clothes too expensive for guys to buy.
6) afraid of being identify a mistaken of gays or trannies.
7) 20% of guys will do copy-cat of other guys clothings to follow.
8) no totally fashion sense
9) guys prefer stick to wear 3 colors top - white, black and dark blue.
10) some guys said why waste money on nice clothes for what..

After I read them, I am really total dumbfounded and did not know that they have so much reasons for this. To me, I do not think so. So i approached my bother instead. I wish I can ask my brother to be their fashion men advisor as I have notice him wearing simple yet fantastic sense. He said that most of clothes he got from Beach Road, Queenways, Bugis Village and got non-authentic edition NIKE shoes from JB, Times Square. No need to splurge alot money on branded clothes like Zara or TOPMEN. I agreed with him. After that, he sells them online internet for guys to buy within their budget. Yeah i am helping him sell his clothes online.

Now, I started with my new planning for men clothings to sell in near future. Not so soon. I need to understand what guys really like in some relates to sense dressing or what they hate to wear. Yeah, I am currently selling girls / women fashion clothings.

Here is the photos I got from Korea and Taiwan. Uncertainly if guys like you all like this design clothes - men.

More young or mature guys carrying black bags either in hand bag or sling bag. It has alot of functions to use it (eg: go got gym or schooling or go work or else).
Jean culture design is now hit no: 1 in trend.

Do not have to wear like this to meet girls for dating. It will give a girls a funny impression. Meant for business purpose or professional gatherings.

All 3 photos from Korea Fashion Booth.

More suitable on young guys. Because the shirt is more crampy style. No need to iron it.

All 3 photos from Taiwan Fashion Street - (Sept - Dec 2006).

*p/s, not only this girls bothering about guys. Everyone is the same on earth. Guys also have bothering about girls. No difference. Women fashion sense will be coming soon....

My MHI Youth Council Days (1998 - 2001)

MHI - Ministry of Hearing Impaired is where all the (HI) hearing-impaired people gather together to attend church on every Sundays and many activities and others. It was established by Wesley Methodist Church near YMCA there.

Youth Council (YC) was a new establishment on 22nd September 1998 and Dr Victor Keng started to choose the few HI talent people to run YC involved in organising other activities such as camping, leadership camp or else and events like Christmas Party. I was discovered to join YC in early 1998 then.

My past Youth Council commitments from 1998 - 2001
1) Programme co-ordinator for camping at Sentosa (March 1998)
2) Event co-ordinator for Christmas Party (Dec 1998)
3) Training cum programme for survival camping at East Coast (Nov 1999)
4) Guest cum Host co-ordinator for Christmas Party at YWCA Ballroom (Dec 1999) 5) Volunteers Gathering for charity works (Jan - Aug 2000)
6) MC Host & Interpreter for Christmas Party (Dec 2000)
7) MC Host for Christmas Party Opening with NTU, NUS, Poly (Dec 2001) - this was my last commitment for YC.

All of them are former Youth Council Team from 1998 to 2001 and the man in grey vest (upper row) is Dr. Victor Keng.

Despite of our hearing loss, still it did not affect us. We were strong team with our highly confidence and challenge to work together just like a own family. Most of us have our own potentials at different talent positions / areas which they could do their own duties to be fulfilled.

Not forget that, we know that we have a loss of hearing, we are still HUMANS have eyes, legs, arms and brains to move on. We did it. Never look at us as a handicapped or disabled. We did not look ones like this.

Happy 2nd Birthday to Youth Council on 22nd September 2000 at Wheelock Plaza.

Our duties had done fully to make christmas party 1999 was a just 98% successful without any helps from hearing volunteers of NUS, NTU or Poly. Most of them were tasked with duties such as Food & Beverages, Guest controlling, Programme eventer, Treasurer, Chairman, Photographer, Light & Sound effect controller and else. Never forget was that we had 3 days midnight burst to go through this works to ensure that christmas party went smoothly within 3-4 hours.

At Dec 2000 - Christmas Party, I was selected to be MC Female Host with Dianel - MC Male Host. This was the first programme to introduce. We were just using our signs to talk on the stage while the hearing interpreter who was in front of us to read our signs to tell all the guests of what we said.

The man is the pastor, Rev Joo from South Korea. He is also hearing impaired. However his sign language is very totally different from us. His sign was in Korea Language while me and daniel was using sign in English America Language. Of course, every countries where deaf people are using different sign languages in their own languages.

Second round of programme - we had to entertain the guests at Ballroom.

Last round of event programme - giving talk about the real life we faced of what we have done to contribute and experiences. Barely forget what I said on the stage because got to memory all the script to say.

End event of party - the woman (5th from the right side), Mabel Ng was the chairman of MHI to give blessing & thanks for our 2nd time achievement to organise party.

After Dec 2001 of 3rd successful christmas party with 200+ guests, I had completed my duty as MC HI Host together with MC Hearing Host (David). By then, Youth Council was closed down due to our commitments & personal reasons of leaving and we seperated into our own ways. Most of us started working or further studies overseas.

After 4 - 5 years, we finally made arrangement to meet up and to mark our YC remembrance together on 22nd Sepetmeber 2006 at new cafe along boat quay opp The Irish Pub.

Former Youth Council Mangerial Trainers from 1998 - 2001. For girl in green, joined YC in 2000.

Former Youth Council Helpers from 1998 - 2001. Few came late and they were not here in this photos.

Look different from the past photos of 1998 - 2000. But still the same people together.

This is mixed turkish & indian combo food... it suitable for 4 - 5 people but in end we ordered wrong combo as we all were 7 people each on 2 tables. Guess how much it costs... $50 buck for this combo.

After dinner, we went to eski ice pub near TCC at Boat Quay. Most of them wanted to go there to celebrate birthday of our last remembrance of YC. Then when we reached outside eski, they were afraid to ask waitress whether got place for us to sit. I said to them, go in and ask lah. They chose to wait outside and expected somebody to do for them. Kinda disappointing..

So I decided not to waste my time and told waitress that we needed 16 seats inside. She told me to wait and checked out for me. After a while, waitress came out and told me that all seats were fully and asked me do not mind to sit outside and drink. In end, most of them were upset & disappointed after heard this because they did not want to drink outside. Too warm and they prefered to have drink inside.

Then I took 5 minutes to talk to waitress and told her to give herself the best to find 16 seats for us within 10 minutes as I did not mind to wait till she gave me good customer service responds. This was my testing on her. After 10 - 15 mins waiting, the waitress passed her patience when communicating with me thru paper & pen. She finally found me the good 16 seats. I patted her shoulder saying, "thank you for your help and you are great waitress to me always." in my hp text to show her.

Never expected the waitress cried in front of me. And she wrote on paper saying, I was very brave to talk to her like this to give her some confidence as a waitress.

Guess what I said to her.

Texted my hp to tell her that I learnt alot when worked as florist cum customer service at florist shop at Heeren where I dealed with rich and western customers. Lucky, they were patient & nice people. Not only this, I worked as runner / waitress in Seoul Garden and cafe before where I faced dealing with rude and good customers. And also worked as administration executive in Sito Network Company last time. That was how I know how to deal with customers with kinda of various communication methods. This is only within my own ability & experiences. It was my good lesson to learn this.

We were sitting in prefect capacity space for 16 people in eski pub inside. Finally taken this photo. Most of them are working now. Three of them are currently self-employed in their own business. Few are married and attached too.

My friends Sandy, Vanessa, Me and Pao Ru.

The girl in red checkered shirt, Sandy told us to give good & funny expression on camera. So we did like this. haha...

Bought this chocolate fudge cake from Coffeebean. Kelvin forgot to ask the staff to add some words on cake.

We wished each one another - Happy Last YC Birthday just to mark our remembrance together as we would no longer to extend our commitments to contribute to YC.

Before leaving this place, I took this picture to remember on that day. Eski Pub with freezing cold inside is not bad designs look but kinda small. It could hold only within 30 people.

Army Bowling at SAFRA Yishun (21st Sept 2006)

Army Bowling Competition at SAFRA Yishun on 21st September 2006 (Thursday). Finally got the chance to take photo of this disco bowling allery. But it is not good idea to play bowling at competition stage. This is more suitable for young teens to play bowling like this.
The first round of game had started....... see the interesting comments coming up... also photos uploading already.. But not all as I could not blog here with too many 40 photos. I only choose interesting & candid photos which I can create ideas to write here. Enjoy looking & reading. Better get tea and snack ready at your desk to enjoy.. haha.. just kidding.. :)

Whoa.... See what he was doing at the lane. Hey, he was not falling down... Golden chance to catch a photo of Seamus's new secret bowling style movement at the lane... Benny must be watching him closely or watching him dancing on the lane.... sheehehe...

You see... His style movement was finally successed as he got strike for this... He walked in his cool calmness.. Maybe he was trying this movement again for his next turn... he is seemed good bowler... Is he shirt a good luck to him? Because he was only one who wore grey shirt in his team.

Oh no.. wondering why he hid his lip tightly... Maybe he was trying to create another amazing bowling style movement or changing his own bowling balls...

This is Benson. Professional bowling looks of him. Well - balanced.... His left leg was at the centre as he was trying hard to aim the ball to go straight at centre movement or hook movement to get strike once... see if he could make it or not...

He was fully focused at the moving ball.. unfortunately was that I unable to take photos of his ten-pin bottles. He squeezed his right hand in hope of get strike..

Could not say whether he got strike or not... But looking at Seamus was clapping for him and Benson did smile himself.. means that he done his best already. *thumb up*

Tony received with full screams & clappings from his team as he got strike at his turn. Hmhm... Did not know that he could play bowling well.

Wesley had missed his close best chance to get strike but in end left 2 pin bottles at conventional space. Tough on him to hit 2 bottles. Still he is good at playing bowling.. Yeah I played bowling with him before, together with Benny and Wesley's elder brother at SAFRA Tampines last time.

Benny still loves to play bowling till now. Thanks to him was that I picked up learning to play bowling when I first met him back few years ago. Till now, I am still playing bowling. I used to love playing basketball. Now switched to running & swimming. I got to train hard for my coming Standard Chartered Women Run in December 2006.

Coming.... The Little Ducklings.... Say cheese... cheese.... hahaha,,,

Actually I wanted to tell Seamus to stand centre of 4 mens in dark blue shirt. Guess no chance..

From the left hand - Seamus, Wesley, Benny, Benson and Tony

Second pose for The Little Ducklings... But not only this, I finally found the new cutest & funnier picture of Little Ducklings to suit the 5 men prefectly.. coming soon.. keep scrolling slowly...

Qianwu and Darrel

er... Not sure if his name is correct or not.. Sorry if I forget your name partly... hard to remember those chinese name of people. But given my best, I only managed to recall starting with Q..... I did not study Chinese Language in my primary & secondary schools last time.

Darrel and Phili

When I first time met them of our first trip to Kuala Lumpur together with Benny, Tony and Vincent in May 2004, I thought that both of them are brothers becuase they looked abit alike brothers to me. Till then I was told that they are not brothers. Ops... Silly of me to think like this...

New brotherhood - Phili and Darrel

Amazing... Till now.. still friends cum colleagues. *p/s: -> Phili and Darrel, got few pictures of you in my file and wanted to send those pictures to you both becuase it is meant for you both to keep. Let me know so that I can email you both all photos.*

New Manhood group - Benny, Darrel and Qianwu.

They are not vain men or gays okie.. Nothing wrong with either men or women to be close term of friends with same sex. Dont be so old-fashionable thinking lah, okie ??. We are already in 21st century, so be to live in modern world now. So huge smile.. Shall I become as a New Manhood Magazine Editor to beat down all the magazines like Snag or Maxim or FHM or Men Health.. shehehe :)

Lady Boss and Qianwu

Newly prefect couples ?? Hey, please do not try guessing or thinking too much after you see this picture. Photos do tell you a thousand words but never judge its photo appearance as it wont give you the right accurate. Wake up lah.. - > They are friends cum colleagues.

Darrel and Benny

Strongly bond of frienship between them.. Darrel did not look like 30++ years old. Still look very fit & young to me since I first met him. Hopefully he will be the next Alan Tam (Hong Kong actor) who is already 50+ years old, still he looks like 25 in his heart. Benny is trying hard to maintain his looks well and wanted to follow like Rain (Korea Full House Actor / Singer).

Benson and Qianwu

Benson showed so damn funny looks like a monkey to play with Qianwu. Poor Qianwu as he could not defeat Benson's powerful tickles. He tried to stop Benson yet he smiled at the camera. So funny guys you are indeed.. Look at the 2 men pointing at them.. I remember one of them is Flare and the other guy I not sure his name. No wonder, Qianwu could not sing well at KTW PartyWorld after this. Because I saw him covering his stomach with his hand while he was singing the songs.

Another Manhood group - Benson and Qianwu

Finally Benson and Qianwu gave each other a good arm opening as friends. Let me be part of manhood group fashion advisor abit about them abit.

Benson looks not bad in his hairstyle and lucky was that his hair did not look like durian. I wish that I can be expert at photo editing to change Benson' shirt into either Adidas White Polo shirt or G2000 clothes to make better amend on his lmanly looks and outlook presentable. For Qianwu, he has the sporty & youth mature look. He will definitely look best in some design shirts of Topmen or Zara outlets at Wisma. But not in long slevee shirt as it will be overlook his entire appearance to loose the attention from girls outside. Good luck to you guys !~! (^_^)

I finally found the cutest picture of Little Ducklings. It respresented Seamus, Wesley, Benny, Tony and Benson - only 5 ducklings in this picture. hahaha...

Sending my congrat to you all (Little Ducklings) that you all won the third place in bowling competition but very closely winning the 2nd place. Try again for next year 2007, go for it...

Finally they are the Company Champion Winner this year.. I did not know the name of company. They should join National Bowling Team to play for Singapore to win SEA Games or Commonwealth Game. They look even better than those current bowling team like Remy Ong and others national bowlers.

Whoa.. My eyes were blinking non stop and people sitting & standing were such in neat arrangement in their representive company (see different shirt colors). No wonder, Dark Blue shirts were outnumbered of other companies.

This photo was seemed badly taken as the blur appeared on blue company.. Still I uploaded this picture here for others to see it.

Finally taken photos of this company and I could not take closer photo them. maybe try again next time.

I finally spotted one girl who gave a funny expression with 2 hands to pull down her eyes. I could see the naughty Xiaojun at left side near indian woman standing beside her.. hahahe...

They were working harder to give the best look pose or changing places to stand.

see.....

.

.

.

.

.

Finally ...it turned out a nice pose but abit blur.. could not see their faces very clear. Hope you do not mind of those photos here. At least, it gives you some meaningful memory to remember.

Ops... I did not give a waiting sign to Flare to stand still ..Never expect him come out so suddenly..

Benny's hope had come true finally after keep telling me that he wanted his best to win trophy this year, just a few days before his competition on that day. His effort is well paid for this.

Looking forward to the next event for me to take photos & writing interesting blogs here.
