baby jayden's growing up

I did a simple gallery presentation for my hubby's cilent who wants to see my baby jayden photo. When I kept looking at this for either short or long time, I really cannot imagine myself so blessing to have a beautiful boy like him. And coming to 4th months soon, I have notice him growing up so much difference and more chubby & cuter & laughier & happier & noiser. Really...

Still I stay with him all the time to make sure he is growing up well. Began to grow love him abit and abit. Admit to say that it is extremely not easy for me to raise him...and try our best to teach him properly from start young till now. This applies the same for all parents in SG.

This photo was taken by my hubby secretly before had a family photo by using tripod and digit camera. It works effectively at our first beginning.

Oh my dear...i forget to change into better nice clothes for this photo taken but it was just our first attempt so that there will be a better photo next time. Really surprised to see this picture when he showed it to me.

Actually I was trying to make Baby J laugh and smile at the same time in front of camera, but it was not easy for me to do it alone. Only baby J laughs and smiles when he looks at me or hubby, not at the camera. Thinking....if i could put milk bottle on digit camera tripod to distract him to look at camera directly or not. Going to give it a try soon.

there are 3 Js

This photo was taken by my younger sister when my hubby and i was away for thailand holiday last month february. Really love this photo much.

From the left to right: (my sister's kids) jonathan and jolene. the centre one is my baby jayden. I dont know why we chose the letter "J" to name our kids. But my main reason why i chose J - because i really want to tell him that Jesus loves everybody included him.

Jonathan is coming to be 4 years old in May that is the same day as my mother's birthday. And for Jolene already turned 2 years old last month.

I have been keep looking at this photo for long long time and noticed that Jolene and Jayden have the similar eyes shape and chubby cheeks.

he's so brave boy

Today is the last day of February 2008 that is leap year...really a rare memory for us to remember...the day of 29th only comes once every 4 years - that is what my hubby said to me.

We had brought baby J for check-up and jab. Good thing is that he is growing well and seem develops some little muscular just like his dad. baby J was so brave boy after he received jab and cried for 5mins. After that he smiled at us happily then we went to funan centre to get hubby's laptop fixed there.

Neither he showed any uncomfortable expression to us after a jab, I know it was very painful for him. Yet he fought with its painful jab for sometimes then showed us his charming smile. We gave him a big "thumb up" and hug him as much as we love him.

Then we went home and usually the same routine at 5-6pm I had to bathe him and surprisely that baby J pulled his clothes up so I took a chance to take this photo to remember his jab bravey.

After several hours, his wound was healed well. As well plaster was taken out already. So time for him to sleep at night.

beautiful smile

Taken several photos of Baby J to catch his beautiful smile by a chance and by the time he was only 6-7 weeks old. Really surprised to see him smile so happily whenever he sees either me or my hubby. He never fail me constantly and his charm smile makes me love him more.

My hubby took those photos from digit camera back to his office to print out for his clients to share with.

Seeing him smile daily and i nearly hug him so closely to tell him how much I love him no matter if he is naughty or he makes me tired by feeding him or changing diapers or bathing him or cruddling him at night. All i want to see his smile everyday to brighten up my days.

sunny face music gym

This sunny face music gym is highly recommended for newborn to 36months troddlers as it has auto music itself and you need to install AAA+ batteries inside. This gym is able to carry around and no need to discard them into box. It can be found at toy R us outlet and costs about SGD $50. It was from my hubby's aunt who bought this specially for his first month full celebration last year December 20th.

We put this gym on the bed every morning for him to exercise his body and hands and head movement as he has developed well. He just turned 2 months old offically.

Baby J stares so hard at this sunny face and we had not switch on its music yet.

When music on for a long time, Baby J responded to it very well and reacted to it very fast.
He kept smiling or laughing at it many times. Think he likes it very much.

Finally, he made his first attempt of touching and grabbing this gym thingy.

It will be his new milestone in his early growing day.

And hopefully he is growing well and happy always.

smile at last

Seeing baby J smile many times...really melt my heart so easily. I did so many attempts to make him smile or happy as he is growing well and more chubby now. Finally took photo of his little sweet smile to remember forever.

Despite of being so busy looking after him, changing his diapers, feeding him milk, bathing him, cruddling him, playing with him, talking to him and many, I try not get myself tired so easily but seeing him smile often really brighten up my day and night everydays. So that I wont get exhausted fast. He made me love him even more and I am willing to go through tough times to take care of him.

Well, Baby J will be staying at my mother's place from 8th to 11th Jan as I have things to attend and my hubby will be busier in next few days time. On weekends will be more easier for us to look after him. Poor hubby as he said he will be missing him much, that is why he got hp to take photos of him and took video of him. Can see that he loves baby J much.

one mth old celebration

My hubby's boss Vincent wanted to hold a celebration for Baby J as he loves him (baby J) much. He is Baby J's god-father and invited his co-colleagues and friends over at his condo. not only him, Baby J has many god-fathers,mah. Even everybody loves Baby J much.

Unfortunately, I was unable to take much photos on today because baby J was making so much noise and cried at his condo home. Eventually I had to feed him milk or water and changed his diapers few times. Hardly had times to take photos and poor my hubby was exhausted carrying him all the time. But we had great fun and had a good dinner cooked by vincent and his loving wife.

Man Utd fans (B and Vincent) and little new man utd baby J were happy to see MU won 2-1 Everton.

baby J's full-month celebration

Finally was that baby J turned one month old and he had grown abit heavier and chubbier. He had given us so much happiness and joy that we never had this before. Was grateful to God for giving us a beautiful baby like him.

For traditional reason, my mother told me and my hubby to bring Baby J out for walk before heading to hair salon to cut hair and put it into red packet for good luck and else. I just followed her instruction fully. Baby J was well-behaved at salon and did not make so much noise or cry when the hairstylist cut and trim his tiny light hair. Proud of baby J. :))

He is the one next of Man United player, Cristiano Ronaldo whose hair simiar style to him. Baby J's hair is naturally soft and spikey like this after trimmed abit. He looks great in this hair style hehe...

Those nonya kueh cakes which we ordered from Bengawan Solo but for the buffet decoration was done by us. It was just a simple and relaxing hi-tea buffet that our friends love it much. So we did not want to have lunch buffet that bored them totally. Surprised ???

The kueh cakes arrived in the early morning about 1000am to 1030am so we got time to prepare them by placing them on different plates. It took us about one hour to finish everything prefectly.

Six different cakes : Ondeh-onded, corn kueh, lapis saga, chiffon pandan, salat and bugis.

Three different cakes: soon kueh, dadar and binka ubi.

Drink either hot or cold provided. Still the guests like it much as it was little raining today.

Baby J hugged red packet under his right arm while sleeping. He always like to cover his eyes with his hands. Dont know why he is like this, yet it was a cute sleeping expression.

Really love his little chubby cheek abit and abit.

Every guests were so busy carrying Baby J or taking every photos of him till Baby J was so tired and made so much noise to get my attention by sayang him to sleep.
He was really loved by everybody.

full-month pre-preparation

A day away to full-month old celebration for my baby J and times fly very quickly and even my eyes blinked constantly. Finally no more confinement period and I was happy that I finally can bathe after a month confinement torturous period.

And we prepare things a day earlier and the choz boxes arrived today noon and it all managed to squeeze into a tall & big fridge, to keep the cakes cold freshly hehe...

The box is nicely color decoration presented with the name of my baby J and us that printed on orange small label at right bottom corner of the box.

This CHOZ is highly recommendation by local artists and others and it found in every either baby or motherhood magazines that I happened to see it. That was why I chose this CHOZ for my Baby J's full-month celebration. Somemore, it is home-made quality and no preservation added.

Was preparing to make orchid arrangement decoration for to display on the table. After decorated four single cup orchid arrangement, I put them all in fridge to keep it till tomorrow. So that the orchid wont turn brown or wither fast.

fastest way to coax baby

Yesterday after visited gynae doctor and my incision has recovered smoothly but I was quite disappointed after seeing my weight check-up. Doctor said because of water store inside me and it takes sometime to shrink down the normal within 2 - 3 months, same for incision. I said arghh... not again...I not happy to hear this and set my target to work out on my weight to lose abit slowly.

After that we went to century square to buy sarong stand at kiddy palace outlet to coax my baby to sleep better especially at wee night that is after midnight. Either my hubby or me or my mother has turned out to be zombie to take turn to sayang baby to sleep at night. Because he made so much noise or cry at late night that disturbed our sleeping. I reckon it is normal for babies. But my baby did not like to sleep on crib. Only sarong stand works on him. He always uses his both hands to cover himself when I put him in sarong stand. Cute funny sleeping position.

I know it is not easy to look after baby like this but it gives me alot of patience to do this and that. To new mummies, if you find it hard to coax your babies to sleep at night or if babes do not like sleep on crib, you may try sarong stand only a way to coax your babies peacefully. It costs only $79.90 and good recommendation by my mother and my auntie. Even my nephew and niece also once slept in sarong stand when they were babies.

new parenthood

Today baby jayden's umbilical cord was dropped when my mother bathed him. Actually, he seem disliked to have bathing every mornings. Cannot guess why. Then my hubby put umbilical cord inot red packet and placed it baby's clothes drawer.

After given birth baby jayden, I suddenly felt so much different and so many things to learn how to look after baby and else many. It will be my new lessons to learn soon, probably next week after my incision is fully recovered abit.

Actually I am quite nervous and have to be extra careful when handling jayden as he is so energetic baby who likes to make his body movement much. But he makes me love him even more than I love myself.

So far, my hubby managed to learn how to carry him, feed him and change his nappies. Really proud of him. He likes to "disturb" baby jayden to wake up and play with him after his few hours busy working. I know that he loves baby jayden as he is his precious one.

1st week check-up

Today my hubby drove me and my mother who carried baby to MEH for check-up and had two appointments within one day. First one was to baby's clinic at MEH level 11 and everything was fine for baby jayden. Doctor gave me thumb-up finally. ;)) Then we went to gynae clinic level 10 for my incision and post-pregnancy check-up. I finally lose 6.6kg within the first week after given birth him. Still wanted to lose somemore weight back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I gotta to be patient with it, ya.

Then for incision, I was quite surprise that no pain when the string taken out from incision. Only feeling little itches somewhere on incision area on my abdomen and was told to take care of it.

I took out the newborn blue romper for him to wear and it fits him pretty well. I simply started to love his little soft hair style just like "beckham's hair". Very spikery heehee.. I bought blue romper last August 07 and it was a biggest damage only $8.90, retial price was $15 something at takashiaya.

Yesterday, baby jayden was a week old and he is getting alittle naughty and make so much noises. hehehe....

sweet home sweet - day 5

Finally went home after 5 days in hospital and baby jayden seem sleeping happily in his crib at home. Cute sleeping position and his all blue romper, bib, cap and wrapper....Kind & friendly nurse gave us alot of nappies and baby johnson wet tissue boxes and even baby gift plus 5 x frisco milk bottles to bring home. So heavy...

Great pleasure staying at MEH and their services are great fantastic during my staying there, especially delivery suite and midwives are more friendly and patience.

Well, my confinement period has began today and hoping time will fly quicky till his full-month celebration. :))

MEH candlelight dinner - day 4

Was surprised that my hubby and I had a candlelight dinner at the single ward that I stayed for 3 days and it was the day before we checked out tomorrow. The meal was quite fantastic and more like western style dinner set. But the bread was super hard and could not eat it. Only strawberry cake, various fruits, orange juice, lobester soup and spaghetti with fish. Actually it was our first time to have this such a dinner like this in hospital. It looked more like a hotel to us haha....

Defeated post natal blue - day 3

After 2 days at delivery suite on 19th to 20th November 2007 and was moved to ward single room after operation for 3 days till 23rd November 2007.

I had to endure the pain on lower abdomen and could not move anything. All I was to lie on bed and kept staring at my baby who was beside me. But walking around was the big problem to me and I had to adjust my sleeping position that was advised by the nurse there. Only when the pain was gone when I looked at baby who was still sleeping, pooping and feeding so long.

I did not dare to look at my own lower abdomen and tried not to scare myself. Also did not want to measure the length of incision on my lower abdomen. Just all I wanted to have it fully recovery before I can start running, ya. Good thing was that I defeated the post-natal blue pregnancy. It wont affect me much then.

After few hours resting on bed, I managed to move abit and abit and get up very slowly in order not to hurt my lower abdomen. Still could walk but very slow like turtle.... ops....

beautiful world for baby jayden - day 2

In operation, I could not feel anything and even was given a jab to sleep and also breather. After either 30mins or 1 hour (i did not count or check the timing), I woke up peacefully and felt the painful of incision on my lower abdomen. I did not dare to move on bed and felt giddy heavily. Think I was just come out from the operation room. And it was an advanced medicine for induction.

Then I felt the heavy pat on my shoulder and realised that nurse was calling me but I too giddy and hardly to wake up. Suddenly, nurse put baby jayden on my chest and pulled my right arm to 'sayang' him. Baby stared at me at his own innocent expression and I could not explain its feeling of joy. But it was wonderful feeling to know that he is fine.

Seeing baby jayden on my chest and arm, I was happy and burst into tears to see him so healthy, cute, beautiful and good boy. Also kissed on his forehead immediately and hugged him for a while.

final labour - day 2

We did hope to have good news from Dr Lim TB that I could have a natural birth if my cervical dilatation was smooth as I expected. Not only me, my hubby had been praying very hard for everything to be smooth sailing and got it done at 5am. He could not sleep well at delivery suite and kept watching over me. In fact, my heart was aching that he did not sleep more than 8 hours so far.

At 1 - 3am, the contraction was getting worse and more painful till I could not take it longer and unable to stay calm well. I never knew the feeling of being so painful within my own skin inside. And even I screamed at my hubby gently to ask for his comfort and also adjusted my sleeping positions to avoid getting backspin pain grew. I even closed my eyes tightly to tell myself to endure it abit and abit.

Dr Lim TB came and checked and examined me regularly every 3 hours even he is only 60+ years old. Surprised? He is a great patient and effective doctor who is highly recommended by my hubby's cousin and her friends.

Then at about 4am, I could not take pains any longer and asked for pain relief jab on my right butt to control the level of contraction pain. Shall I rate the pain more than 7/10, okie. After 30 minutes, it made me giddy and lessen the pain, then I fell asleep for 2 - 4 hours. Pain relief jab only lasted 4 hours limited.

At 5am, Dr Lim TB came and inserted to check whether my cervix opened or not. Disappointed that it was still remained 1-2cm after 11 hours. I had to endure the contraction pain for straight 11 hours then. Really unexplained why it was like this.

From 6am to 12pm, it was more busier for nurses and Dr Lim TB to check on me every 2-3 hours and of course, I was expecting my cervix to open up faster and sooner. But the pain had increased even more suffering on me. The drip and syntocinon - the drug is administered via an intravenous drip inserted into a vein in my hand.

From 1pm to 3++pm, was the worst part I remembered till now and everything was not within my planning or what I expected. Still, I could not take pain any longer after the first pain-relief jab at 4am. Then at 4pm earlier, I asked for the last pain-relief jab again to control the pain. Lastly, Dr Lim TB came at about 4+ pm and again inserted inside me and found that it was still the same after the longest straight 22 hours. Then he told my hubby that I had to go for induction of labour immediately at 4++pm.

Induction may be used for women who have never shown any signs of going into labour and also a few whose waters have broken but who fail to start contracting within 24 hours.

I was told that the drip or syntocinon or cervix might not used to react on me and it was unexplained case. However, I guess I had no other choice and just hope that my baby is fine & safe during induction.

Nurse said not only me, many pregger women also go for induction for other reasons. But I think I am just luckier as I do not have any history medicine or health problems so I will have higher chance of getting speed recovery after operation as long as I am still into sports. I was told that I am only the one who could stand the pain for the straight 22 hours.

painless contraction - day 1

Was admitted to MEH from 19th to 23rd November 2007, that was why I was MIA (missing in action) in my blog. So I will write what happened during those days in detail and date according.

I had a painless contraction for almost several hours and thought nothing wrong with it but my lower abdomen started to act up the numerous of pains till my lower pelvis could not take it longer. Then my hubby contracted my gynae doc Dr Lim TB immediately when my belly became harder and painless. Supposed to go for my gynae appointment on 20th Nov 07 but doc told us to come down instead.

Finally reached Mt Elizabeth centre and went to see my gynae doc and he checked my belly and eventually inserted his finger inside. *scream* never knew that it was very painful till my tears came out. My cervix was slightly opened and was told that it may open within 18 hours today.

Was told that I had to admission to delivery suite at MEH now. I said so soon and managed to stay calm all the way. Before we settle at admission for payment and else, we had our early dinner at delifrance cafe, paragoon at about 4 ++ pm. I ate sandwiches with egg and hot tea to increase my energy for labour in case.

Then we walked back to MEH to settle everything done and ahead to delivery suite at 5 - 6pm. When I lie on bed, nurse and my gynae doc Dr Lim TB came to examine me thoroughly and he inserted inside me to burst my water bag. Could feel the gush of water coming out and it was a huge painful. My cervical dilatation was 1cm opened then.

Firstly was the external electronic fetal monitor on my belly - is used to measure to measure the baby's heart rate and the strength of the uterine contractions.

Then, I had to stand the painful feeling that insert inside my left hand - a drip stand. Till about 10 - 11 plus am, my contraction started acting up very very painful and could not torture it. Nurse told me that drip was for to speed up the open up my cervix.

No choice, so I have to endure it. Very regular yet painful and it kept awaking me up everytimes. And nurses at suite were all very friendly and extremely patience concern about me when came to take temperature and blood pressure on me.

I was grateful with my hubby who was with me the whole day to make sure I was alright but his heart was aching to see me enduring with painful contractions for straight 6 hours constantly.
