japanese pasta waraku

Today we brought Baby J out with us to Millenia Walk as my hubby had an appointment at rossi apparel to make & measure new business sleeves and pants there. After that, we walked to Marine Square to have lunch at pasta waraku and lucky not so full yet. All working people had just left at about 2pm.

I ordered cream salmon & spinach.

He ordered this - meat hamburg steak pasta.

We love this iced cocoa drink much. All the time favourite drink.

I wont hesitate to recommend you all to try out the nice food at this pasta waraku restaurant. It is much different from pastamania.

Sadly, I forget to move this drink away as it blocked baby J from camera. Missed it out.

My hubby was feeding him for me as my arm was too tired to carry him.

He is growing well and getting heavier...got heavy bones and little muscular.

No more wearing mittens and bibs for him as he has outgrown them already.

He kept looking at his own hands and also likes to lick or bit his hand sometimes.

Started to love his little chubby cheek bit and bit. :))

Conrad Oscar's

Supposed to attend my uncle roger's home party at Toa Payoh for pre-xmas dinner gathering but my hubby wanted to have private dinner with me alone at Conrad entennial Singapore - Oscar's today. He seldom put me in a spot and I did not know what to say to my uncle roger so to show my sincere apologise by buying him a xmas pressie in end. And also we put our baby J under my mother's care for 5 hours.

Actually it was my first time dine-in at the most expensive buffet at this hotel and the food there was extremely superior, just more than an excellent rating. Somemore I realised that it was not cheap to have dinner at Oscar's but it was a worth to have nice dinner there on xmas eve.

Alot of chef people were busy either cooking or serving people on buffet counter and they put their huge smile at the guests. Really impressive of this service.

Er.. forget its name of drink but I waited for it to become less cold then I drank all. I just had ended my confinement period by 4 days ago so could not drink cold. Only I drank was warm plain water.

Fantastic huge honey roasted chicken and turkey and ham at a row buffet counter.

real fresh & raw salmon, tofu bean, raw fungus mushroom, salmon sushi and other raw desserts.

Other plate: all cooked food such as broocli, honey roasted turkey, spaghetti and curry prawns.

cute chocolate cartoon decorations but it can be eaten. did not manage to try it.

Only saw some people eating it happily, especially the kids haha....

My hubby and I brought this tiny bear home as it was for dine-in guests.

It is even better to have super nice dinner on xmas eve or christmas day or pre-xmas because you have chance to eat roasted honey turkey there. But it is quite expensive to have dinner there. I fainted when I saw the receipt that did not know it costs SGD$108 +++ per person.

Overall rating dine-in at Oscar's was 100% excellent and you should try eat there and the waitress all are very super attentive and friendly.

My hubby loves it much and will go there for dinner in our next visit.

amara element

Today we went to Amara Singapore Hotel to have dinner at element to celebrate our friend's birthday. Actually we supposed to have Japanese buffet at M hotel but never expected that it was closed and personally booked for private function party by other. What was unlucky day, sigh? So we walked to Amara instead.

Then we fear that element restaurant might be fully booked last minutes so my hubby took his last chance to ask the staff whether could have table available if we did not manage to book it. After fifteen minutes talk, finall we got table and had dinner there.

This first head counter is cold food like salad, japanese sushi and others.

This food counter which was in front: variety of cooked foods such as turkey, spaghetti, veggy and else.

We sat near wine display corner. Baby J was extremely good boy and slept well when there was a christmas song surround him. At least he did not make noise by crying in restaurant.

Actually, I nearly had no confident in bringing him out and wanted to put him under my mother's care for few hours, let say about 5 - 6 hours. But in end, I changed my mind and tried my best to look after him,ya.

Guess you must be very surprise that cod fish is really very huge and thickness in my eyes. I never seen it before in my whole life.

But it tastes very delicious and very expensive fish.

Finally got to eat raw salmon after 10 months pregnancy.

Love spaghetti much and the japanese fried prawn and turkey meat.

Third round eating to fill up my stomach. :))

Cake dessert really made me drooling and ate almost every different cakes.


Overall rating at Amara Singapore - Element is really excellent and best recommendation for dine in at night only.

Not so expensive and nice ambience to have dinner with one you love. Should give it a try,ya.

hearty pastamania

Today we manged to watch two shows - the prince hours (channel U) and star search 2007 (channel 8) at same time. It had been long 4 years absence of star search. Could not afford to miss out the shows so we decided to make call for pastamania delivery.

Ordered double delight : only $15.90 (serve 2 pax). 1x pasta, 1x7" pizza, 3pcs garlic bread and 2x canned coke. Added one more pasta: marinara. Total everything at least $28.00 included delivery fee and waiting time: at least one hour and 30 mins.

Overall is 3/5 because the food and pizza already less hot when it reached at my home. Actually it was our first time to call pastamania delivery today. Guess it would be my first and last.

beef bolognese and marinara. for marinara one supposed to be in spaghetti but in end was fusili which my hubby did not like. so I exchanged mine with him.

carrot homemade cake from coffee bean & tea outlet.

Just happen to think of eating this cake when I was reading some books. Then I immediately got changed and bought 2 pieces of cake straightaway to bring back home to eat myself. Think it is a kinda little selfish and greedy of me. xoxo.. hehe.... :((

Actually this piece of cake was very addicting to me and wanted to eat somemore but 2 pieces enough for me. After that, I stopped eating it in order to watch my preg weight & diet till my d-day ends,ya. Used to love eating cheesecake from there but lost taste of it. Dont know why like this.

Today, we went to Novean Sq then walked to United Sq to take a look at baby stuffs and educational thingy there. We are not kisau new parents-to-be, okay. Just want to roam around and see what shops there selling what things and etc. Then saw many working people carrying munchy donut bags and I told my hubby that I wanted to eat one donut to try.

Found munchy donut stall at cold storage basement, United Sq and saw so many different types of donuts to choose. Asked my hubby whether we should buy 6 pcs - $6.50. He said better not and just buy one donut can already. I know he scared if donuts turned out not what we thought because some of our friends said munchy donuts is so-so. To play safe,lah. We rather not buy 6 pcs first unless we try it.

After afew mintues to choose one donut and in end we decided to order thos SO-FRUTTI that is fruity yoghurt glaz. We both shared this single donut and surprised that it was great delicious and worth $1.20. It has full white cream inside and the yogurt is strongly sweet to melt on our taste. Not bad.

Who says that one is not enough....... Actually one is enough for 2 persons..... :))

prata at thohirah

This morning, my hubby and I had a prata breakfast at thohirah restaurant at Jalan Kayu despite of the weather sooooo hot. Actually I wanted to have ice-cream prata but in end I changed my mind, probably after I birth my little baby boy next month. Lucky it was not too crowded there.

He asked me if I wanted to eat paper thosai, I shaked my head, saying dun want lah. I said no taste. Lucky was that we did not order this thosai as we saw the next table, the aunt ordered thosai and it turned out so big roll folded and looked like about 15-17cm. Haha....her sons looked blur when looking at it and she broke it into half to eat.

same drink we ordered : teh tikim (not sure if it is correct word).

1 prata with cheese and 3 pratas with eggs.

my another craving to eat this cheese prata - only one piece for myself. Very soft and crispy..delicious enough to melt in your taste.

nice color brownish prata only the best at Jalan Kayu.

xin wang kovan

Before that, he had eaten the best food at HK cafe at siglap road with his AC friends not long ago. I could not join them as it was already SUPER LATE at about 11.30pm - 12.00am and this cafe closes its business operation at 2.00am. Not bad, ya. He told me to try there (siglap) next time and also mentioned about butter pineapple po lo pao which I never try before. I am food lover who loves to try different new & interesting foods.

Then today I told my hubby that I wanted to have dinner at HK cafe at siglap road. He said ok with smile as he could read my mind well. But unfortunately was that there was a little raining and heavy traffic flow (probably little jam) as only one road down there. Also it might delayed the timing. He was alert enough to know. So he chose not to go there and drove us to hougang instead. So sad :(( And he said that at siglap road, there will be difficult to park there at peak hours between 7.00pm to 9.30pm, unless we go there after 11.30pm that will be less parking. whoa so late, alamak. No wonder that he left his car outside my home and his AC friend came to bring him to HK cafe at siglap road last time.


I ordered cold barley for me and my hubby - ying yong ice drink, something like more mixed of coffee and tea together. Took a slip taste of this and never had this taste before.

We also like to eat cheese baked rice, short form is CBR.

My favourite black pepper beef - CBR. Super crispy & soft enough to chew into your mouth.

My hubby's all the time favourite pork chop - CBR.

Finally I got this chance to eat this butter pineapple po lo pao and asked him to eat pineapple that I disliked. Then I cut it to half piece for both of us to eat together. Not bad and I asked him if at HK cafe (siglap road) selling po lo pao exactly the same taste as this one here. Still stumped alittle, guess must be taste difference.

After that, we ordered one more butter pineapple po lo pao and one condensed milk and peanut butter thick toast to bring home to eat lah. *forget to take photo of thick toast.*

Well, I would say that it was great pleasuring to have dinner at HK cafe when there was a drizzling rainy outside. Food overall rating was good and price was pretty reasonable and affordable.

sunshine breakfast

Today, we had a breakfast together at Hans restaurant and after that, we went to kiddy palace shop to buy newborn baby girl gifts for my hubby's friends. It is not the first time, quite alot of many times within 10 months now. Our circle friends about more than 15 friends' wives also already given birth babies earlier this year and I am about the last person to give birth baby in November lor.

This set my hubby ordered and he created it in this way. So cute breakfast and he said our coming son may like this kinda of kid breakfast soon. I said maybe.

My focaccia delight breakfast came with cheese, cumumber, ham, tomotae and coleslaw together in one set like this. hmhm, not bad one.
